Damien
Damien Jélaine is an award-winning Screenwriter and Director hailing from Guadeloupe, West Indies. His craftsmanship is rooted in his Caribbean identity, challenging outdated notions and dismantling colonial ideals with the intentional use of visual art as hyperrealism. In 2013, he set out to write his first Feature Film titled Public Bitches, which then won Best Original Feature Film Screenplay in the World Music & Independent Film Festival. Most notably in 2019, his second screenplay was selected for the renowned Sundance Film Festival. He’s lived across four continents and is trilingual (French, Creole, and English).
